BT’s Delivering our purpose report reveals a year of great progress including:

  • BT’s fibre broadband coverage reached 22m UK premises and 100% of BT broadband customers were advised on internet safety
  • BT’s customers spent £3.4bn on products and services that helped them avoid carbon emissions and BT cut their own worldwide energy use for the sixth consecutive year
  • £83.7m was raised for good causes through BT’s people and technology and the free fundraising service BT MyDonate processed over £51.6m for charities

“It is because we recognise how important connectivity is today that we also work to extend the value we can add to communities where we operate and to society at large, by finding new ways that our products and services can bring social and economic benefits.” said Sir Mike Rake, BT Group chairman and Gavin Patterson, BT Group Chief Executive.

In Delivering our purpose BT announced further expansion of its 2020 ambitions including a target to help 10m people overcome social disadvantage through the benefits its products and services can bring.
