A Day at the State Fair: Kaiser Permanente Gives Families in Need a Day of Fun

More than 170 underprivileged and at-risk children were treated to a fun day at the fair on July 26, 2012, thanks to Kaiser Permanente. Through our Community Benefit program, Kaiser Permanente in the Greater Sacramento Region supports more than 50 agencies. In addition to grant funding, KP supports the community by extending opportunities that are beneficial to the clients served by these agencies -- fun and unique opportunities like attending the State Fair. In fact, since 1992 Kaiser Permanente and the California State Fair have partnered to provide a healthy lunch and fair passes to more than 1,000 children and families who otherwise may not have had the opportunity.
