CITGO Board of Directors Appoints Interim Officers

HOUSTON, December 5, 2017 /3BLMedia/ – The Board of Directors of CITGO Petroleum Corporation appointed the following new officers of the Company, on an interim basis, effective Nov. 30, 2017:
 
James Cristman, currently Vice President and General Manager Lemont Refinery, has been named Vice President of Refining in addition to Vice President and General Manager Lemont Refinery. Jim brings more than 30 years of refining experience and is a current member of the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) Operating Practices Advisory Group 1980 as well as an Executive Committee member of the local Three Rivers Manufacturing Association.   

Simón Suárez, currently Senior Consultant, has been named Vice President Supply & Marketing. Simón brings more than 34 years of experience in various positions in supply chain management and corporate planning within Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) and CITGO.

Glenn Hilman, currently Assistant Vice President Tax, Risk Management and Financial Planning, has been named Vice President Shared Services. Glenn brings more than 33 years of experience with CITGO, holding various managerial positions since 1983. 

Alejandro Escarra, currently Legal Operations Consultant, has been named Vice President Legal Affairs. Alejandro’s legal experience includes committee and secretarial roles for CITGO as well as litigation experience within PDVSA and Venezuela’s Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice. 

Rafael Gómez, currently Senior Consultant in Government & Public Affairs, has been named Vice President Strategic Shareholder Relations Government & Public Affairs. Rafael brings more than 30 years of industry related experience, 23 of which were earned at PDVSA, with previous executive leadership positions in corporate messaging, marketing, advertising, and government and public affairs within both CITGO and other Venezuelan private and public companies.

Randy Flowers, currently Corpus Christi General Manager Operations and Maintenance, has been named Vice President & General Manager Corpus Christi Refinery. Randy brings more than 26 years of CITGO refining experience to his new position. 

Judith Colbert, currently Deputy General Counsel, has been named General Counsel & Assistant Secretary. Judith brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate governance, commercial, compliance, and complex litigation among other legal areas.

These new appointees join existing officers Rick Esser, Vice President of Compliance and Chief Strategy Officer; Calixto J. Ortega Sánchez, Vice President Finance; Art Klein, Vice President and General Manager Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex; Eladio Pérez, General Auditor; Theresa Mitchell, Controller; and Justino Salazar, Corporate Treasurer.

Together this group of seasoned professionals will lead CITGO forward, maintaining the Company’s prominent position within the petroleum refining and marketing industry.
