FCA US Launches Student Loan Refinancing Benefit with CommonBond for Business™ to Help Employees Tackle Student Debt
FCA US announced today that it has added a student loan refinancing program to its package of benefits offered to salaried employees. The program is being offered in partnership with CommonBond For Business, the student loan benefits platform from financial technology company CommonBond. FCA US salaried employees with student loan debt, as well as employees with federal government-backed Parent PLUS loans, are now eligible to refinance these loans through the program with preferred terms.

Partners in Education of Toledo Receives $25,000 FCA Foundation Grant to Support Youth Literacy
Recently, Partners in Education was awarded a $25,000 grant from the FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of North American automaker FCA US LLC. The grant will support youth literacy via the Mentors in Toledo Schools program.

From wildfires to hurricanes and animal hoarding to dog fighting, Courtney Protz-Sanders is skilled in triage and emergency sheltering for animals. She’s also founder and executive director of Paws for Life, a non-profit, foster-based, all-breed rescue for dogs and cats that has saved nearly 3,000 homeless animals from shelters and the streets of Michigan.

Steve Hatfield wished he had a mentor program like Winning Futures in his high school when he was preparing for his next steps. Now “Mentor of the Year,” Steve has been volunteering for six years with Winning Futures, a Michigan-based nonprofit organization that empowers youth to succeed through mentoring, strategic planning and workforce preparation.

FCA Community: Creating Connections to Battle Mental Illness
According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a person dies by suicide every seven hours in the state of Michigan and it is the 10th leading cause of death in the state.

“A lot of people think they can beat mental illness on their own, so they suffer in silence or take their own lives,” explains Jazmyne Kincaid, FCA US employee at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit. “I hope to be a helping hand to someone struggling with a mental illness and share with them the resources around us that can help guide them toward health.”

Talent, Diversity and Leadership on Display in Detroit
Talented MBA candidates from 36 of the nation’s leading business schools competed for $50,000 in scholarships in the 2018 National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Graduate Student Case Competition®, sponsored by FCA US LLC.

The NBMBAA/FCA US National Graduate Student Case Competition is an annual event that gives high-potential students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and problem-solving skills in a formal competition.

FCA Community: Detroit Youth Taught Lawn Care and Life-Long Lessons
Eric Miller’s job brought him to Detroit in 2012, but he brought more to the city than just his family.

Launched in 2013, The Lawn Academy provides Detroit-area boys and girls, ages 11-19, a six-week college immersion program in partnership with Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD).

FCA Helps Students Explore, Invent Tomorrow’s Next Big Thing
No one knows what the future holds, but for several weeks this summer FCA opened windows of opportunity for employees’ school-age children to dream big and think creatively about what the future could and should look like.

FCA’s Camp Invention and Invention Project camp invited more than 200 elementary, middle and high school students of FCA employees to bring their curiosity and creativity to a series of STEM and STEAM camps, short for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math, held at FCA headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
