CITGO Honored With Special Olympics Louisiana Outstanding Corporate Benefactor Award
This past April, CITGO was honored to receive the Special Olympics Louisiana 2017 Outstanding State Corporate Benefactor Award, noting the company's historic and dependable support of Southwest Louisiana (SWLA) Special Olympics. As a proud partner of SWLA Special Olympics for more than 30 years, CITGO was also presented with a SWLA Special Olympics Sponsor Recognition plaque.

CITGO Lemont Refinery Dives into Lake Michigan to Raise Support for Special Olympics Chicago
On Sunday, March 5, the CITGO Lemont Refinery joined over 5,000 participants at the 17th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge at North Avenue Beach. TeamCITGO volunteers dove into frigid Lake Michigan water – raising over $10,000 in support of Special Olympics Chicago athletes.

CITGO Hosts 2nd Annual Special Olympics Texas Family Night
CITGO Petroleum Corporation provided athletes with developmental disabilities and their families an opportunity to bond by hosting the 2nd Annual Special Olympics Texas Family Night at the CITGO Miracle League Field. The event, much of which was staffed by volunteers from the CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery, featured a magic show, dance party and face painting, among other festivities.

CITGO Marks 18 Years as Presenting Sponsor of the Special Olympics of South Texas Spring Games
CITGO Petroleum Corporation marked its 18th year as presenting sponsor of the Special Olympics Area 2 (South Texas) Spring Games on April 2. More than 600 athletes from 16 area counties convened at Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi to compete in the 33rd annual Spring Games. Volunteers from the CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery were on hand to help escort teams during opening ceremonies, run track and field events, serve as timekeepers, park cars, and congratulate competitors.
