LA Kings Host and Honor U.S. Gold Medal-Winning Women’s Olympic Hockey Team at STAPLES Center
AEG’s LA Kings welcomed the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team on Feb. 26 at STAPLES Center with thunderous applause following the team’s historic gold-medal victory at the recent Winter Games in Pyeongchang. As one of the first stops of the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team Promotional Tour, the Kings saluted the gold medalists during the pre-game program on the ice prior to the team, led by Team Captain Meghan Duggan, performing the ceremonial puck drop. The Kings also hosted a special meet-and-greet with players from the LA Lions, the all-girls youth hockey club founded and operated by the Kings.

AEG’s STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles has teamed up with Life is Washable, Inc. to provide “Sensory Safety Kits” for the arena’s events to give guests with Autism, Dementia or a Traumatic Brain Injury the best fan experience in Los Angeles.

Loud noises and bright lights can make it difficult or confusing for an individual with Autism, Dementia or a Traumatic Brain Injury to enjoy an event. The friendly @ccess kits are designed to support individuals of all ages and their families, with a variety of sensory needs, at all STAPLES Center sporting events and concerts.
