It’s a common misconception that the bigger and more complex a pro bono initiative is, the higher the impact will be for nonprofits, your employees, and the company itself. In fact, the biggest determinant of a program’s impact is not its scale or complexity but the quality of the match between employees’ expertise and nonprofits’ needs. Great pro bono initiatives have one thing in common – the right support for the right nonprofit at the right time.

GM’s commitment to reducing energy intensity saved $73 million in energy costs last year and avoided 388,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, equivalent to the electricity use of 57,000 U.S. homes.
What started as a small project in their kitchen has now grown and expanded into their garage. To date, they have made and donated 15,000 crayons and are expanding with local partnerships like their local Boys & Girls Club and different schools in the area.

Rare diseases such as the primary immunodeficiency (PI) disorders Gaucher disease, Fabry disease, and Hunter syndrome can be devastating, as they are difficult to detect and equally difficult to treat.
Children in foster care are not bad. They are not delinquents and they are not dangerous. Children in foster care are the victims of circumstances beyond their control and it’s our job to find them safe, loving, permanent, committed, never-going-to-abandon-you adoptive families. That’s where I come in.
