Over 200 attendees gathered to network and weigh in on a panel discussion centered around the idea that partnerships can advance treatment options.

In Kenya, about three-quarters of the population is at risk for malaria, and all four species of the malaria parasite that infect humans occur in the country. Although there has been substantial progress, malaria remains the leading cause of mortality in Kenya, killing an estimated 30,000 people every year, most of them children under 5 years old.

Most children in foster care will spent at least a year away from their family. Many of the 425,000 children in foster care will return to their biological family, but more than 100,000 children are waiting to be adopted right now.
