In Vietnam, agroforestry has been practised for a long time, however, its widespread adoption remains limited owing to a range of factors. Building on previous work to address barriers to adoption, a workshop was held on 5 April 2018 in Hanoi, in which participants agreed that a long-term strategy for the development of agroforestry throughout the country was needed to address national and international commitments.
The Arbor Day Foundation in collaboration with TDBank Group and Sustainable Brands are planting trees and doing clean-up at Stanley Park, Vancouver's first, largest and most well-known urban park on June 4. The tree planting will be done by volunteers attending the 2018 Sustainable Brands Conference — SB'18 Vancouver — which is being held in Downtown Vancouver June 4-7, 2018. As part of this year’s Make Your Mark 30 Day Challenge, 60 employees from Xylem’s Shanghai site visited Nanhui Kwai Yuen Farm for a tree planting activity. As a team, they successfully planted 35 holly saplings at the farm.

he Arbor Day Foundation has announced that Telemark Diversified Graphics is committed to partnering with the Foundation to plant 30,000 trees in the Mississippi River Valley. The partnership was launched by Telemark as part of their sustainability efforts, and the program will be supported by a percentage of Telemark sales over the course of three years, with plans to continue the program long-term.
The Arbor Day Foundation announced today the beginning of its spring tree planting initiatives through its Energy-Saving Trees and Community Canopy programs. Through these two community-based homeowner education programs more than 30,000 trees will be distributed by 50 partners across the United States bringing the total number of trees planted on homeowner’s properties free of charge over the last three years to more than 250,000.

The Arbor Day Foundation has announced a new partnership with Traeger Wood Fired Grills as part of the company’s commitment to sustainable practices. The partnership is launching with a kick-off tree planting event in Millcreek, Utah on April 18 at 9 a.m. Traeger employees will help plant 20 much-needed trees in Scott Avenue Park (3475 S 800 E, Millcreek, UT 84106). Arbor Day Foundation’s Alliance for Community Tree member, Tree Utah, is facilitating the planting.
