Last Call for Teachers and Schools to Enter the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest

In just two weeks, Samsung will close applications for the 7th annual Solve for Tomorrow Contest (#SamsungSolve) which will award $2 million* to deserving public schools. Teachers have until Wednesday, November 30 to enter the contest online by submitting a project idea describing how their students will use STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) skills to address a local issue affecting their community.

The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation started Trees for Troops in 2005, joined forces with FedEx, and has since delivered more than 150,000 Christmas trees to military families. For the 2016 holiday season, we’re taking you to Minter’s Farm, one of over 100 farms participating in the program, to see where the trees come from and what goes into getting them ready for our service men and women.

With that in mind, FedEx has joined forces with the United Service Organizations (USO) to provide care packs for service members deployed overseas, and with the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation to deliver Christmas trees through the Trees for Troops program.
