In celebration of World Oceans Day, Cox Enterprises announced it will become a member of Ocean Conservancy’s Trash Free Seas Alliance, pledging to work toward solutions that will eliminate ocean trash.

During the month of May, Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS) Team Members around the globe participated in the company's annual Sands ECO360 Clean Plate Challenge, a campaign aligned with the company's sustainability program to reduce food waste. The event was an engagement and educational initiative designed to encourage Team Members at all Las Vegas Sands' properties in both the United States and Asia to only take as much food as they'll consume when eating in the Team Member Dining Rooms.

21st Century Fox’s National Geographic is now accepting submissions for Chasing Genius, a new digital community developed in partnership with GSK Consumer Healthcare based on the idea that global change can come from anyone and anywhere. The platform is inspired by Genius, Nat Geo’s first scripted series produced by Academy Award winners Brain Grazer and Ron Howard, which premiered in April and chronicles Albert Einstein’s life through stories about his friends, lovers, enemies, and fellow scientific luminaries.

Giving back has been an integral part of Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second largest freight brokerage in North America, since the beginning. TQL Cares – the company’s workplace giving program – was established in 2006 to deepen employee engagement, while making a positive impact in the community. Beijing-based startup Alesca Life is democratizing access to fresh food by creating solutions that enable anyone anywhere to grow the safest, healthiest, and freshest produce in the most efficient way possible. Their automated indoor food production system is currently growing nutrient-dense produce using no pesticides, no soil, no sunlight, 20-25 times less water, fertilizer, and land compared to traditional farming practices.
