In response to the Macau Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) calling on the Macao community to help alleviate damage throughout the city caused by Typhoon Mangkhut, 60 volunteers from Sands China Ltd.’s (SCL) Sands Cares Ambassador program helped clean up Hac Sa beach, where they disposed of branches, debris, and helped shovel displaced sand back onto the beach.

The Arbor Day Foundation’s Texas Tree Recovery Campaign – a partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation, Texas Roadhouse and FedEx will distribute 1,000 new trees this year to homeowners in Port Aransas, Texas at the Old Town Festival on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Subaru of America, Inc. today announced the return of its annual Share the Love event in 2018. Eleven years running, this year’s Share the Love event marks the third consecutive year there will be no cap placed on the total donation from Subaru of America to its Share the Love charitable partners.

Back on My Feet, the national nonprofit organization committed to addressing homelessness, has announced that Eric J. Foss, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Aramark, has joined its national board of directors.

Back on My Feet combats homelessness through the power of running, community support and essential employment and housing resources in 12 cities across the country, including Philadelphia, Aramark’s headquarters city.

Recently a team of energetic Arrow employees set out on a bicycle built for 30. The team pedaled in unison in the Halifax Big Bike Race in celebration of months of fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Arrow Electronics sponsored the participation of a team of employees in its Milan, Italy branch in the eighth annual StraWoman race, designed to promote fitness and raise awareness about violence against women. Held in Monza, where many of Arrow’s Milan-based employees live, the non-competitive, women-only 5K race drew 5,000 participants.

The Arbor Day Foundation’s Pittsburgh Tree Recovery Campaign – a partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation and TruGreen, FedEx and Tree Pittsburgh will distribute 500 new trees this year to homeowners in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Zoo parking lot, 7370 Baker Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

The Arbor Day Foundation’s Texas Tree Recovery Campaign will hold a tree distribution event in Houston, TX on Saturday, October 13, 2018, for homeowners to replace trees lost in Hurricane Harvey.

AAAS members including three AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellows (STPF) spent a fall day at a DC middle school sharing their experiences to help spur interest in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) careers.
