(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) London - 24th March 2011 - The winners of the CR Reporting Awards 2011 (CRRA ‘11) have been announced at an invitation-only awards ceremony on Thursday, 24 March 2011, at the Royal Society in London. Details can be found at http://www.corporateregister.com/crra/.
Now in their fourth year, the CR Reporting Awards are the only annual, global awards for Corporate Responsibility (CR) reporting. They identify and acknowledge the best CR reports across nine categories.
The CRRA’11 solicited reports published between September 2009 and September 2010. Due to the high level of interest in the Awards, the number of entries in each category was capped. This year, 90 leading reporting companies, from well-known multinationals to local SMEs, entered their reports across nine categories. This year’s winners are:
· Best report – Hewlett-Packard Company (United States)
· Best first time report– Virgin Group Ltd (United Kingdom)
· Best SME report – Pacific Hydro Pty Limited (Australia)
· Best Integrated report – Natura Cosméticos SA (Brazil)
· Best Carbon Disclosure – Vodafone Group plc (United Kingdom)
· Creativity in Communications – Virgin Group Ltd (United Kingdom)
· Relevance & Materiality – SABMiller plc (United Kingdom)
· Openness & Honesty – Novo Nordisk A/S (Denmark)
· Credibility through Assurance – Co-operative Group Limited (United Kingdom)
CorporateRegister.com’s Paul Scott said: “We’ve seen CR reporting increase every year, with 2010 showing the strongest performance yet – nearly 5,000 reports worldwide. With so many companies reporting, we need a process to identify the reports which lead where others will follow. The CRRA provides this process, and once again we have a suite of worthy winners”.
As a companion to this year’s awards ceremony CorporateRegister.com is hosting two online debates. Leading CR experts will set out the opposing sides of two hot CR reporting topics, and the public is invited to participate in an ongoing debate. You can view the debates and join in the discussion at

About the CR Reporting Awards 2011
Organised by CorporateRegister.com, the CR Reporting Awards are the world’s only independent global annual awards for corporate responsibility reporting. The awards were launched in August 2007 to identify and acknowledge the best in corporate non-financial reporting.
CorporateRegister.com invited all companies with relevant CR/Sustainability reports to participate. There are nine categories, with one winner and two runners-up for each category.
Voting took place online between 28 October 2010 and 28 January 2011. All registered users of CorporateRegister.com were entitled to vote. Each voter could choose up to five reports per Award. Voters’ choices were saved online for them to revisit, amend and refine right up until the deadline.
CorporateRegister.com takes extensive measures to ensure the integrity of the voting process. For example, employees of participating companies are not allowed to vote for their own report. This helps to maintain the CRRA’s position as the world’s most independent and authoritative reporting awards programme.
