On February 28, 2011, Western Union President and CEO Hikmet Ersek will issue a global corporate philanthropy challenge.

In celebration of International Corporate Philanthropy Day, Ersek will make a special announcement about Western Union’s partnership with the United Nations to advance the Millennium Development Goals, particularly those aimed at reducing poverty and providing universal education. Ersek will attend CECP’s Board of Boards meeting, marking Western Union’s fourth consecutive CEO appearance. He also will speak at a joint CECP/UN event, and host a special reception at the UN’s New York headquarters.
