Tetra Tech is proud to be recognized for its commitment as an excellent partner and mentor for small businesses.

Tetra Tech received the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Los Angeles District 2018 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence, which recognizes large federal government prime contractors with effective small business subcontracting programs that create opportunities for use of small businesses partnerships. The award ceremony held in Los Angeles, California, on May 29 was the culmination of SBA’s National Small Business Week that included events across the country.

SBA Los Angeles Office District Director, Victor Parker, praised Tetra Tech saying, “Your hard work, innovative ideas, and dedication to your employees and community have helped you build an outstanding business that has strengthened California’s economy. The SBA is pleased to celebrate your achievements and your personal role in driving our nation’s economic growth.”

Tetra Tech has long recognized the value of small business partners to its core business and its goals of Leading with Science® and offering comprehensive solutions to its customers around the world. The company is committed to partnering with and mentoring small businesses from every socioeconomic category through small business subcontracting. Since 2007, Tetra Tech has subcontracted more than $1 billion to its small business partners. We also have supported our small business partners in winning hundreds of millions of dollars of prime contracts on their own.

“Tetra Tech has a proven record and a well-defined process to mentor, guide, and train the small business subcontractors who support the execution of our projects,” said CEO Dan Batrack. “We are gratified at the number of our protégés who continue to partner with us after having successfully graduated their programs.”

The hard work and dedication of Tetra Tech project managers made this award possible. Their commitment to partnering with and mentoring small businesses have helped many businesses grow, made our projects better, and supported our relationships with our clients. Tetra Tech’s partnership success is an integral part to an effective, innovative company culture.

The company previously received the National Eisenhower Award in the Construction category in 2008 and 2001 and in the Service category in 2013.
