Response & Emergency Info as Silver Fire Burns in California

Like too many fires before it, the Silver Fire near Banning, Calif., has kept local residents, businesses and emergency responders on high alert.  So far this year, there have been more than 4,300 fires that have burned 71,539 acres according to CAL FIRE, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.  

And history has shown that Mother Nature likes to strike in the month of August.

Recent reports indicate the Silver Fire has already burned more than 10,000 acres, and that number continues to grow.  Throughout the inferno, Verizon has been standing by, providing communications assistance to first responders, as well as those they are protecting.
