STMicroelectronics Sustainability report discloses the sustainability performance of key programs and site activities in the year 2013. It gives a very transparent and detailed view on ST’s Sustainability strategy, deployed worldwide through its business policies and concrete actions to create value for all its stakeholders.

This year, the ST report puts a particular emphasis on employees’ contribution to ST’s business and the sustainability journey, through numerous focuses on site achievements and employee portraits.

Furthermore the report gives a status on the objectives set in 2012, revealing concrete examples to illustrate the progress made and the challenges faced across the business. These are fully aligned with ST’s Sustainability strategy and its four key pillars:

    ST strives to support its employees in their growth and development within the company by promoting their health, safety and well-being but also by contributing to their employability and engagement.

    ST constantly tries to be proactive by providing value for customers through high-quality, innovative and eco-designed products helping to address major societal challenges in energy-saving, healthcare and security.

    ST’s operations worldwide are rigorously controlled in order to reduce its impact on the environment. ST strives to reach its EHS Decalogue objectives by focusing, in particular, on water, waste, energy-savings and CO2 neutrality.

    With the highest level of business integrity, ST is committed to create value for its stakeholders through constructive, transparent engagement and collaboration in the local community, with industry groups and with its suppliers and the academics.

This report is prepared in accordance with the 2006 Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 Guidelines. The GRI has confirmed an A rating according to G3 Reporting Guidelines. It is also verified by a third party auditor who guarantees the materiality, completeness and reliability of the data published.
