Pamela Hutchinson Named Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion for Bloomberg LP

New York — Bloomberg LP has named Pamela Hutchinson Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Michael R. Bloomberg announced in a memo to global employees.

“Since joining Bloomberg, Pamela has helped us broaden our recruitment efforts while also making our office culture even more inclusive,” Bloomberg wrote in a memo to employees.

“Our diversity – including our openness to people with different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds – helps give us a competitive edge. We are always looking to sharpen that edge and deepen our commitment to an inclusive environment that treats all employees with dignity and respects them as equals,” Bloomberg said.

“Bloomberg has been doing leading edge work in diversity and inclusion and this is a fantastic opportunity to drive a global effort and take it to the next level,” Hutchinson said. “It’s a business imperative for Bloomberg to have an inclusive workplace as the company focuses on attracting, retaining and developing employees around the world.”

Hutchinson, who has led diversity initiatives in the financial services industry for more than 20 years, replaces Erika Irish Brown who recently joined Goldman Sachs as their Chief Diversity Officer.

Hutchinson prior experience included roles at Northern Trust, Deutsche Bank, Barclays and Goldman Sachs. She will be based in Bloomberg’s new European Headquarters in London.
