(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) November 23, 2010 – Marlboro College Graduate School will host a free, public presentation by Carbon Harvest Energy president Don McCormick as part of its MBA in Managing for Sustainability Featured Speaker series at 5:00 pm on Friday, December 3.

The talk, entitled, "Building Deeply Sustainable Food and Energy Systems through Integration" will examine the Carbon Harvest Energy landfill gas-to-energy project in Brattleboro as a practical model of sustainable and responsible resource use.   Don McCormick has over 20 years of entrepreneurship, management and engineering expertise. Prior to founding Carbon Harvest Energy, he designed Laughing Duck Farm, a sustainable aquaponics business that produces year-round food (microgreens and Tilapia) in a cold climate, as well as a greenhouse that uses all renewable energy inputs and eliminates waste through a closed-loop water system.   Under the guidance of program director Ralph Meima, the Marlboro MBA in Managing for Sustainability is taught in person and online, with students and faculty coming together for three days each month at the downtown Brattleboro, Vermont, campus of the Marlboro College Graduate Center. Over the course of two years, MBA students earn 60 credits in classes, internships and independent research.   The Marlboro College Graduate Center is located at 28 Vernon Street in Brattleboro, Vermont.
