NEW YORK, February 9, 2021 /3BL Media/ – The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) received today two separate prizes in the 15th annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service. “We Are WELL” won the silver medal for Customer Service Success while IWBI’s newly launched WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management received a bronze recognition in the category of Most Valuable Response by a Business Development Team.

The awards, chosen among 2,300 nominations from 51 countries, and judged by more than 160 professionals worldwide on nine specialized judging committees, recognize IWBI’s efforts to support users of the WELL Building Standard (WELL) across the world with its experience-enhancing services as well as its commitment to empowering global organizations to prioritize health, safety and well-being for their stakeholders.

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development and sales professionals.  The Stevie Awards organizes eight of the world’s leading business awards programs, also including the prestigious American Business Awards® and International Business Awards®.

“At IWBI, we believe in deploying people first places through our programs and services, and our core value lies with people, the most valuable asset of any building, organization or community,” said Rachel Hodgdon, IWBI President and CEO. “By delivering an elevated experience to all WELL users including our direct customers, we build a culture of trust, and instill a sense of satisfaction and well-being into the very fabric of the global WELL movement.”

Hodgdon pointed out that the people-first value serves as a guiding principle for IWBI teams and the extended global community in delivering the day-to-day services. These awards for sales and customer service are a testament to this fundamental belief even at the time when enrollments in WELL programs experience exponential uptake worldwide.

IWBI undertook a customer survey in 2020. Results showed that 86% customers feel that IWBI offers the best services to advance health and well-being in buildings, organizations and communities.

“Customer engagement is key to advancing WELL principles around the world,” said Jessica Cooper, Chief Commercial Officer of IWBI. “Every touchpoint is a moment of truth, and while WELL Certification requirements are necessarily rigorous, customers can expect a great deal of support throughout their WELL journey.”  Cooper led IWBI’s business development team which worked closely with IWBI’s Standards Development Team in creating the WELL Heath-Safety Rating that was launched in June 2020.

The WELL Health-Safety Rating was a result of global collaboration with the 600-member IWBI Task Force on COVID-19 as well as sector expertise and customer feedback. The timely launch of the rating has been embraced by the global market in 78 countries in only six months.

WELL projects have now crossed the 1.5 billion square foot mark in over 80 countries. More than 8,500 facilities have enrolled in the WELL Health-Safety Rating. IWBI also administers the WELL Accredited Professional program in 98 countries with over 16,000 individuals who have registered for or achieved the WELL AP credential.
