Most people accept that sustainability is necessary for the earth's survival, but a recent blog post on Clean Techies cites "GE’s revenue from ecomagination products growing to $18 billion – during the 2009 recession – with projections for continued growth at twice the rate of total company revenues" as evidence that sustainability is also a necessity for corporate survival. GE's success with their ecoimagination products highlights how their CSR work is entwined and inseparable from the overall success of the company.
