(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) – Northampton/Boston MA – May 3, 2010 - Ceres (pronounced “series”), a leading coalition of investors, environmental organizations and other public interest groups working with companies to address sustainability challenges such as climate change, has partnered with 3BL Media, a leading CSR and sustainability communications company to raise awareness about Ceres upcoming two-day conference, Roadmap for a Sustainable Future, on May 5-6 in Boston.

3BL Media will be onsite at the event with a studio and video production crew to film a series of video interviews with delegates, speakers, and other conference participants.  All videos will be distributed throughout the 3BL Media distribution network consisting of thousands of media points, professionals, consumers, social networks, online communities, as well as category specific and mainstream news sites and aggregators.

“We recognize the powerful combination that video and social media can have for bringing attention to the work Ceres and our member organizations are doing,” said Ceres president Mindy Lubber. “Our partnership with 3BL Media provides a way for us to shine a spotlight on some of the leading companies, investors and NGOs addressing issues of sustainability.”

“It is widely accepted that video is becoming the medium of choice for news and content.  We are honored to partner with Ceres to showcase some of the amazing work that Ceres organizations are doing.” says John Howell, producer and editorial coordinator at 3BL.

Boston-based Ceres has been working for 21 years to integrate climate change and other global sustainability challenges into business and investor practices worldwide. Ceres developed the Ceres Principles in 1989 to serve as a code of environmental conduct for companies. It also developed the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), now the de-facto international standard for corporate reporting on social and environmental practices. Earlier this year, Ceres released  “The 21st Century Corporation: Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability ,” a vision and practical roadmap for integrating sustainability into the DNA of companies. The Roadmap is designed to provide a comprehensive platform for sustainable business strategy and for accelerating best practices and performance across entire business models – from the board room, to operations, to supply chains.

3BL Media works with organizations to tell their CSR and sustainability stories across the social web.  Through a combination of traditional and social media in combination with the largest networks of media points, professionals and consumers focused on these issues, 3BL Media has developed an effective method to increase the impact, influence and reach for CSR and sustainability initiatives for organizations worldwide.  3BL works with organizations ranging from multinational corporations to governmental agencies, non-profits and small privately held companies.
