Advancing Technology and Learning

AT&T has long supported innovation in education. Since our Aspire initiative launched in 2008, we’ve focused on giving more students access to technology to prepare them for 21st century careers. We’re bringing mobile high-speed Internet into classrooms. Our education-tech focused program uses technology to help students succeed. And our employees mentor at-risk students.

Our focus on education also reaches into our business. As we get ready for the 2015 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference, we’re excited about the solutions we offer. We hope those solutions demonstrate our commitment to learning.

For example, we recently worked with the Indiana Department of Education to develop a new mobile app. The state superintendent wanted a better way to communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents. With the INSchool free app, Indiana residents can easily access information about their schools. They can watch videos about education-based programs and learning opportunities for children and adults.

AT&T also works with schools around the country to help improve the way students learn. With more technology in schools, high-speed Internet is essential. Our solutions are making learning more innovative -- in and out of the classroom:

  • Ethernet strengthens Wi-Fi in schools.
  • Managed Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) service makes managing Wi-Fi easier.
  • The power and speed of our network makes mobile learning possible.
  • Network security tools help to keep online learning safe.

We want to make it easier and faster for schools to keep up with the new technology. AT&T Switched Ethernet ServiceSM with Network on Demand lets your IT department save time. This makes daily operations easier, so you use new services much faster. The benefits include:

  • Installation may take only a few days, rather than weeks.
  • With the online service portal, you can change service (like adding or lowering bandwidth) with just a click of a button.
  • The reliability and security of AT&T's network.

We’ll be at ISTE, June 29th – July 1st, to help educators learn about the technology that can help their students stay connected. Please, come visit us in booth #2048 to learn more about our solutions that enable anytime, anywhere learning.
