For nearly a century, unmanned aerial vehicles – or drones – were primarily tools for the military, but in the last decade, the use of drones for civilian tasks has skyrocketed. Home Charging Installation Rebates Make it Easier to Drive Electric

Southern California Edison celebrated today the installation of 1,000 electric vehicle chargers in more than 60 locations throughout the Southland, and also announced that it is starting a new pilot program to help customers install EV charging stations at home. The 1,000th charger was installed at South El Monte High School through Charge Ready, SCE’s pilot program to add EV charging stations at locations where people leave their cars for the day. These locations include workplaces, public parking lots, hospitals and destination centers, as well as apartment and condominium complexes.

Texas A&M International to Save $15 Million Through Energy Efficiency Projects With Schneider Electric

On May 16, 2018, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), located in Laredo, Texas, announced it has started construction on a comprehensive set of campus-wide energy efficiency projects that will streamline facility operations, encourage sustainable behavior and improve the quality of life for students and staff. The university is partnering with energy and sustainability expert Schneider Electric on the project, which guarantees nearly $15 million in energy savings over the life of the project.
