Nestlé today laid out its broader vision to achieve a waste-free future and announced a series of specific actions towards meeting its April 2018 commitment to make 100% of its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025, with a particular focus on avoiding plastic-waste.

LG Honored by Environmental Protection Agency for Responsible Electronics Recycling Leadership

LG Electronics USA has been recognized for responsible electronics recycling leadership by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. LG received the highest-level recognition in the EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Electronics Challenge. Highlighting the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability at CES® 2019, William Cho, president and CEO, LG Electronics North America, applauded the EPA SMM Electronics Challenge program, which encourages responsible recycling. “By using third-party certified recyclers, we’re proud to help drive the use of environmentally protective practices,” he said.

Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics and Keep America Beautiful Announce 2018 Hefty® EnergyBag® Grant Recipients

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Raises Awareness About Plastic Pollution with Statewide Recycled Art Contest

In support of America Recycles Day on November 15, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas partnered with the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Nevada Recycles Program to sponsor a statewide recycled art contest to raise awareness of recycling. The theme followed Earth Day’s 2018 campaign to End Plastic Pollution and required all entries to be composed of used, or found plastic materials.
