Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) TECH 2020 Task Force visited the Bloomberg Tech Hub in San Francisco on Tuesday in a final stop of a tour through Silicon Valley this week to advance the CBC TECH 2020 initiative. Launched in May, CBC TECH 2020 is a five-year plan developed to address the underrepresentation of African Americans in the technology industry.
With last week’s announcement that their employees will be offered unlimited maternity and paternity leave, Netflix became the latest company to address parents’ increasingly vocal desire to strike a better balance between work and family life. It’s a win for growing families everywhere. Earlier this year, Bloomberg responded to similar feedback from our employees and updated our parental leave policy to allow primary caregivers 18 weeks of fully-paid leave. But the balancing act doesn’t end there.
Perfect Banana may have taken a runaway lead in the Second Annual BWIT-sponsored CodeCon competition, but in the end, it was Skillful Nectarine who solved all seven problems to win the coveted Bloomberg CodeCon Cup.
