Subaru of America, Inc. has announced the return of its annual Share the Love event for 2015. Entering the program’s eighth year, Subaru is hoping to donate up to $15 million to its Share the Love charitable partners, which would mean a total of $65 million donated throughout the life of the program.
In demonstration of its ongoing commitment to sustainable operations, eight Lamb Weston facilities achieved ENERGY STAR ® certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Lamb Weston, a ConAgra Foods (NYSE: CAG) brand, operates 13 facilities in the U.S. that make frozen potato products. Three facilities from ConAgra Foods’ private brands business were also certified, giving the company a total of 11 certified facilities – the most in the food processing sector.
Guatemala has the fourth-highest childhood malnutrition rate in the world, affecting more than half of its children. Fifty-three percent of the population here lives in poverty—13 percent in extreme poverty. One of the most effective ways to treat childhood malnutrition in this region is to use Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF).
