(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Harrisburg, PA – January 6, 2012 – Susquehanna Service Dogs’ two newest litters of puppies are now live on the puppy cam. The Jim Henson puppies and the eReaders puppies are each on their own puppy cams. Watch the eReaders and the Jim Henson litter as they eat, sleep and play on a live video stream.

Besides watching the puppies online, people can visit them for puppy hugging once the puppies are four to five weeks old. For more information about puppy hugging, email SSD’s acting executive director at or call SSD at 717-599-5920. Donations to help these puppies get off to a good start can be made online.   SSD is also looking for volunteers to raise these puppies. Puppy raisers teach the dogs basic obedience and house manners, as well as take them out in public to gain as many experiences as possible. If you live in central or northeastern Pennsylvania and are interested in raising one of these puppies, please complete SSD’s online application.   As service dogs in training, the eReader and Jim Henson puppies will assist men, women and children with disabilities to become more independent. They will open doors, turn lights on and off, retrieve numerous objects, find the phone and much more. These dogs will change lives.   SSD has been training service, hearing, balance and psychiatric service dogs since 1993. To date, they have placed over 200 service dogs in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. SSD is a program of Keystone Children & Family Services and is a member of Assistance Dogs International and Capital Area United Way.   For more information about Susquehanna Service Dogs and Keystone Children & Family Services, visit   Keystone Human Services is a nonprofit organization committed to serving the community.
