Mondi, the international packaging and paper Group, today released its 2016 reporting suite including its full online Sustainable development report, its Global Thinking, Local Action sustainability publication, and its Integrated report and financial statements 2016.

Mondi has continued to align its approach to the global sustainable development agenda including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the outcomes of COP21 in Paris by delivering a comprehensive view of the Group’s approach to sustainable development and its performance in 2016 prepared in accordance with the GRI G4 core guidelines. Since launching the Growing Responsibly model in its 2015 report, Mondi has made progress against its commitments which address issues such as climate change, constrained resources and environmental impacts, and supplier conduct and responsible procurement. This year saw the roll-out of the model and a stronger linkage to the UN SDGs and their respective targets, alongside a refresh of the Group’s Sustainable Development Policies. Mondi continued to support the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will publish a statement by the end of June 2017.

Its Global Thinking, Local Action sustainability publication looks at how the Group is applying the Growing Responsibly model to some of its greatest challenges and enabling the business to deliver results on the ground.
