San Francisco, May 31, 2013 /3BL Media/ – SFMade, a nonprofit focused on building San Francisco's economic base by developing the local manufacturing sector, today announced the winners of the Citibank Local Manufacturer Awards:

The winning companies were selected during SFMade Week May 6 – 10, a week-long celebration of San Francisco's vibrant manufacturing sector. During the week, visitors to all 25 of San Francisco's Citibank branches had the opportunity to peruse products manufactured in the city, vote for their favorite manufacturers and win cash prizes for those businesses to help them grow.

"I think this contest definitely gave local San Francisco manufacturers the chance to be recognized and appreciated by the public and Citibank customers," said Gabi Hanoun, founder and CEO of first-place winner iDreamcase. "We were proud to be a part of it, and plan to use this award to keep producing our high-quality, handmade tablet and smartphone cases."

SFMade is the only organization of its kind focused on building San Francisco's economic base by developing the local manufacturing sector. "This new Citibank award program was beneficial on many levels," said Janet Lees, senior director for SFMade.
