(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) NEW YORK, NY – December 6, 2010 – Preston Read, senior vice president of government affairs at RecycleBank®, the premier green rewards program that motivates people to take environmental actions, will co-present with Gary Wygant, vice president, recycling business development at The Coca-Cola Company® for a session entitled “Recycle 360: Innovative Approaches to Recovery and Recycling” at the Sustainability Summit. The annual event hosted by the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), working together as the Trading Partner Alliance (TPA), brings together retailers, manufacturers, government and advocacy groups to showcase successful business implementations of environmentally responsible policy and best practices. 

RecycleBank and The Coca-Cola Company® have had a longstanding partnership to motivate consumers to increase household recycling participation. In this engaging panel discussion, Read and Wygant will examine the spectrum of “carrot and stick” approaches to changing consumer behavior and offer their perspective on the most effective methods to drive measurable increases in recovery and recycling rates.
 
At RecycleBank, Read manages partnerships with both the public and private sectors. He liaises with State environmental agencies, regional municipalities and other government entities such as the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the International City Management Association, in addition to national and international environmental NGOs to promote positive environmental behavior and recycling programs across the nation.
