NEW YORK CITY and HICKSVILLE, N.Y., February 17, 2022 /3BL Media/ – National Grid New York’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel Philip Decicco Jr. has been selected to join the Partnership for New York’s 2022 Class of David Rockefeller Fellows, an immersive civic and leadership program for senior executives.

Decicco joins a group of 42 business leaders from diverse industries. During the on-year program the Fellows will meet with elected officials, members of the media, and leaders of government agencies and nonprofit organizations, learning first-hand about how they are addressing some of the city’s pressing issues.

The Partnership for New York established the David Rockefeller Fellows Program in 1988 to focus on the most pressing challenges facing New York, including public safety, workforce development and education. Nearly 500 executives have completed the program, with alumni going on to higher leadership roles and more active civic and social engagement in the community.

“National Grid shares in the responsibility to bring about change, having renewed our own commitment to create a more equitable future for every customer and community through new programs focused on clean energy and sustainability, workforce development, neighborhood investment and community engagement and environmental justice and social equity,” said Decicco. “I’m humbled to join this prestigious group of leaders as a David Rockefeller Fellow to help bring about change.”

As a member of National Grid New York’s leadership team, Decicco advises and directs the legal and regulatory strategies for the company. Recently, he lead a series of successful regulatory proceedings to manage energy affordability for millions of customers, funding programs necessary to maintain safety and reliability, while advancing clean energy programs in support of the region’s decarbonization goals. Decicco leads a team of attorneys focused on state and federal energy regulation, infrastructure siting, permitting, environmental, renewable energy, corporate governance, and commercial matters. A former corporate attorney concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and commercial transactions, he has been with National Grid for nearly 25 years.

Decicco is a graduate of Fairfield University and Fordham University School of Law. In addition to joining the Partnership for New York’s David Rockefeller Fellows Program, he is a member of Molloy College’s Energeia Partnership/Academy for Regional Stewardship. Decicco, of Garden City, is active in various civic and charitable organizations on Long Island.
