UN Sustainable Development Goal 17 calls for a renewal of the global partnership for sustainable development. Fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships like GRI’s Stakeholder Council is one of the ways GRI is working to achieve this goal.

Watch this video to learn about the people seated on the Stakeholder Council and the work they do.

The Stakeholder Council is a formal multi-stakeholder policy forum within GRI's governance structure and advises the Board of Directors on strategic issues. Up to 50 members sit on the Stakeholder Council. Its membership is diverse, and drawn from all United Nations-defined regions: Africa, Asia Pacific/Oceania, Latin America/Caribbean, North America/Europe/CIS and West Asia. Its members represent core constituencies in GRI’s network: Business, Civil Society Organization, Investment Institution, Labor and Mediating Institution.   GRI is revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development, a call to action laid out in SGD 17. Come to the 5th GRI Global Conference, 18-20 May, in Amsterdam. Give your input to the Stakeholder Council at a special breakfast session and help us move beyond reports in pursuit of the global goals.
