Better Health For Indiana

Today’s guest blog comes from Jamal Greene, Global Bio-Medicines Six Sigma Black Belt and African American Network Chair.   When I was asked to help with the Indiana Black Expo (IBE) I was not sure what to expect. Having never attended in the past I pictured an event filled with food and live music, but as my involvement has continued to increase it is evident that IBE has a message beyond a family reunion for the African American community. IBE is about the past, the present, and the future. For over 40 years African Americans have been gathering at the Indiana Black Expo to discuss economic, political and social issues that drive the community. Starting as a small networking event IBE has grown into one of the largest Black Expos in the nation, drawing more than 300,000 people who attend workshops and speakers regarding youth education, entrepreneurship, and health.   Read more about why Lilly has supported the Indiana Black Expo from its first event to today.
