Global Leaders convene at Ideagen Summits

May 6, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Ideagen Convenes Luminaries from the world’s leading companies, NGO’s and public sector in Washington, DC for the Annual Data for Good 2030 Summit

Leading corporations, NGOs, and public sector organizations gathered for the Data for Good Summit at Gallup World Headquarters on March 18, 2016. Leaders convened around the creation of new ideas regarding the impact of data and how cross-sector collaboration and innovation can be used to solve some of the world’s most vexing issues.         

Ideagen’s leadership including George Sifakis, Founder and CEO of Ideagen, Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Kenneth Moritsugu, Board Chairman Sidhant Gupta from Microsoft; Impact Leader Council Chairman Maurizio Vecchione from Global Good & Research by Intellectual Ventures and Impact Leader Council Co-Chairman Dr. Kiko Suarez from Lumina Foundation spoke about the importance of data for good in technology, healthcare, education and all key sectors.

Ideagen Talks were delivered by global leaders including Andrea Glorioso from Delegation of the European Union to the USA; Annette Richardson, United Nations; Raul Fernandez, Monumental Sports and Entertainment; Nicole Gardner, IBM; Stephan Chase, Marriott; Marcus McGrew, The Kresge Foundation; Dylan Vecchionem Reef Quest; Dr. Kiko Suarez, Lumina Foundation; Andrew Means, The Impact Lab; Elizabeth Fowlkes, Boys and Girls Clubs of America; Hans Holmer, Intelligent Decisions; Xavier Hughes, White House & DOL; Theodosios Vallas, Embassy of Greece; Tochi Izegbu, Global Communities; and Jon Clifton from Gallup. During design thinking based ideation sessions participants developed new ideas to develop a framework for sharing data across sectors.

Annual Ideagen EU Leadership 2030 Summit

Ideagen’s Annual EU Leadership 2030 Summit convened in New York on December 11, 2015. The Summit focused on the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and the importance of developing a new leadership framework and cross-sector innovation approach to successfully achieve the goals by 2030.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Ambassador Ioannis Vrailas, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the EU and George Sifakis, Founder and CEO of Ideagen.  Inspiring Ideagen Talks were given by Dr. Kiko Suarez Lumina Foundation; Brandon Busteed Gallup; Kenneth Shinozuka SafeWander; Ambassador João Vale De Almeida Ambassador for the European Union Delegation to the United States; Megan Bettilyon Intellectual Ventures; Annette Richardson UN Women; Sue Stephenson Ritz-Carlton; Joshua Collett AARP; Maria Georges Wells Fargo; Tony Magnetti Sunovion Pharmaceuticals; Bob Filbin Crisis Text Line; and Jeff Terry Amway Corporation.  Ideagen’s design thinking ideation sessions resulted in development of solutions and key vantage points to address the world’s most vexing issues via leadership initiatives.

Daymond John, known as the “Godfather of Urban Fashion” and co-star of Shark Tank, was awarded the First Annual Ideagen EU Global Citizen Award at the summit. John expressed his appreciation for the community surrounding him when he said, “I always say that I am truly just standing on the shoulders of giants. I would never think that I would get to this point where I would have so many amazing ambassadors in the room and global leaders and corporations who are acknowledging me. I just came up with an idea…”.

Ideagen’s 2030 Summit presenting organizations included: Lumina Foundation, Global Good & Research by Intellectual Ventures, AARP, The Ritz-Carlton, Wells Fargo, Sunovion, Vodafone, Gallup, United Nations, EU and Amway.  The Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations served as venue host and ideation partner with Ideagen for the 2030 Leadership Summit.
