ICMM Presents Three Publications and a Series of COP17 Events

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) December 2, 2011 - ICMM has launched three publications in conjunction with the climate change program at the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Durban, South Africa:

ICMM will also be hosting two on-site events that highlight the role of the mining industry in tackling the climate change challenge. 

On 5 December at 17:30 ICMM will be co-hosting a CEO Fireside Chat and drinks reception as part of the WBCSD Business Day, which takes place in the Protea Hotel Edward. 

The panel discussion chaired by Yvo de Boer, KPMG’s Special Global Advisor on Climate Change and Sustainability, and four mining and metals industry business leaders from Anglo American, AngloGold Ashanti, African Rainbow Minerals and Lonmin, will explore how companies can remain competitive in a low carbon economy. 

The following day, on 6 December at 8:30, ICMM will be co-presenting a morning side event with the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) at the Standard Bank premises in Durban.
