Drinks giant beats environmental targets and reveals plan to cut emissions further through new biomass boilers
Drinks brand Bacardi exceeded its targets on water use and energy efficiency in 2014/15, according to its latest corporate responsibility report.
Published yesterday, Bacardi's eighth annual sustainability report shows the spirits company boosted its water use efficiency by 3.2 per cent last year - beating its target for the year of a one percent improvement. In total the company used more than 3.6 million cubic metres of water.
Bacardi - which is the world's largest privately-held spirits company - also achieved 3.7 per cent greenhouse gas emissions reduction over the period, priarily through energy efficiency gains.
