Social engagement of business: it’s about Values, Perspective and Balance

Businesses earnestly engaged in CSR and sustainability have internalized a common set of universal beliefs (Values), understand the Big issues society is facing (Perspective) and embed these in their strategies and operations with wisdom (Balance).

Values: Walking the talk, in sustainability terms, starts with the board and executive team fully embedding a certain set of beliefs akin to CSR into their strategies and operations. For example, the protection of the earth’s resources, respect of human rights and giving-back to society.
