Foundation Funds AASHE's Sustainable Procurement Toolkit for Higher Education I…

  In June 2013, the Ray C. Anderson Foundation awarded a Sustaining Grant to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) for the development of a sustainable procurement toolkit for facility managers, planners, administrators, faculty and students at colleges and universities around the world.  The “Sustainable Procurement Toolkit” was launched in June 2014 and is available as a free download through AASHE.   “Collectively, institutions spend many billions of dollars on goods and services annually. Each purchasing decision represents an opportunity for institutions to choose environmentally and socially preferable products and services and support companies with strong commitments to sustainability."   Read more.
