#FightHunger Twitter Chat Recap: Working to Solve Hunger with BJ’s Wholesale, Meals on Wheels, and Feeding America

On February 18th BJ’s Wholesale Club, Meals on Wheels, and Feeding America joined up for a twitter chat “#FightHunger: Working to Solve Hunger”.  The chat was a huge success with over 700,000 accounts reached with over 10,000,000 impressions.

We kicked things off with introductions from our panelists:

From there the chat got rolling with dozens of audience participants and hundreds of retweets.  In advance of the twitter chat, 3BLmedia reached out on twitter to personally invite hunger activists to participate, and the response was excellent.  Many bloggers and local food banks turned out to amplify the conversation.

During the chat, over 600 tweets were sent out with the hashtag #FightHunger.  There were hundreds of retweets and replies, from many influential members of the audience, including @MomsRising, who’s account commanded 132,600 impressions.

We got through all our scheduled questions, and enjoyed enthusiastic audience participation and questions.  3BL media kept the event lively with supporting tweets containing trivia and multimedia related to the event.
