FedEx is turning 40. The company’s employees are celebrating the anniversary by donating their time to local charities dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities where FedEx employees live and work.

Fed Ex employees have been engaging in all sorts of community activities. Some were busy redesigning a school library in Atlanta while others were painting, organizing and landscaping a playground in Colorado Springs. And similar deeds have taken place in many other cities.

The week kicked off on Monday and unfolds today in more than 40 American cities, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Newark, Portland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Outside the U.S. FedEx workers in places such as Canada, France, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and China are also engaged in volunteer work.
