Disney Publishes Progress Against Citizenship Targets

Burbank, CA, March 19, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Disney today published its 2013 Citizenship Performance Summary.

The summary focuses on Disney’s FY13 performance on 30 targets.

Highlights include:

-Meeting or exceeding all of its environmental targets set during 2009, including reducing net direct greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent and electricity consumption by more than 10 percent

-Increasing global oversight across its operations, from planning and sourcing to international labor standards and chemicals management, with the creation of the Integrated Supply Chain Management organization

-Donating nearly $370 million in cash, products, and in-kind support to organizations around the world and 667,000 volunteer hours to strengthen communities and brighten the lives of kids and families

Disney continued to engage external stakeholders in the review and development of the Performance Summary by working with organizations such as Ceres.
