As part of JetBlue’s continued coronavirus relief efforts, we recently joined forces again with the Ricky Martin Foundation, along with Project HOPE and CharityStars to transport much-needed medical supplies to Puerto Rico. The island is home to nearly 500 JetBlue crewmembers who support the airline operations in our focus city of San Juan, and in Aguadilla and Ponce.

Realizing the importance of getting PPE to where it is needed, JetBlue flew thousands of KN95 facemasks from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) to Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan (SJU). The donated equipment will go to medical professionals and healthcare workers who are on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. We’re grateful to our cargo partners at Alliance, Aeronex, and GMD, who graciously donated their services to help with the cargo portion of this mission.

JetBlue is proud to be a long-standing partner of the Ricky Martin Foundation, an organization that has always stepped up for the people of Puerto Rico. We previously partnered with the foundation on recovery efforts after several hurricanes in recent years transporting critical supplies via JetBlue aircraft. This latest humanitarian effort is part of JetBlue’s continued mission to inspire humanity, serving the communities where our customers and crewmembers live and work.
