CITGO, a refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) recently joined forces on the Wisconsin Muscle Team Event, which took place at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

The objective was to raise $150,000 for MDA. The occasion brought together children living with neuromuscular diseases with professional athletes, including former Green Bay Packer stars Antonio Freeman and Gilbert Brown and pro wrestling legend Sgt. Slaughter. Funds raised were directed to adults and children in need of MDA support services, research and educational programs in the Wisconsin area.

In addition to pairing MDA Buddies with professional athletes, the event involved a variety of pre-dinner activities, including Zumba, bobble head drawing, drawings by a caricature artist, an Austin Boucher photo booth and silent auctions.
