Showing LUV to Our Communities for 40 Years: Southwest Airlines' 1600 Ticket Giveaway

In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, Southwest Airlines showing the LUV to its communities by giving away 1,600 roundtrip tickets to 40 nonprofit organizations.  Nonprofit organizations focused on community initiatives that concentrate on education, diversity, military, environment, and families facing serious illness had the chance to share their compelling story along with a photo to explain how 40 roundtrip tickets would help them achieve their missions in the community.

Southwest Airlines will announce the 40 winners in four stages: 10 at a time.  The first winners were announced on Tuesday, August 2.  To read more about the contest, see photos of the winning organizations, and read the winning entries, log on to the Nuts About Southwest Blog.
