The Points of Light Blog on Volunteering and Social Good

The Points of Light blog celebrates the power of volunteers to change the world – whether it’s a mom leading a homegrown disaster relief drive, an athlete wielding his celebrity for good instead of goods or a kid who collects socks for the homeless. We believe individuals, community groups, corporations and the government play key roles in addressing the critical issues of our time – from the economy to education, the environment to emergency preparedness. Through the stories of volunteers – and tips and advice that support volunteer service – we recognize our personal power to transform ourselves and our communities.
