(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) ISLANDIA, N.Y. - October 13, 2010 - CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA), a leading IT management software and solutions company, today announced that its new building (Building 2) at its India Technology Center (ITC) campus in Hyderabad has been awarded the prestigious LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) India Gold certification for New Construction from the Indian Green Building Council.

LEED certification is third-party validation of a building’s environmental, economic, and occupant-oriented performance. LEED-certified buildings cost less to operate and maintain; are energy- and water-efficient; have higher lease-up rates than conventional buildings in their markets; are healthier and safer for occupants; and are a physical demonstration of the values of the organizations that own and occupy them.

LEED India is the localized version of the LEED rating system and is administered by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) under license agreement with the U.S. Green Building Counsel.

“The Hyderabad campus houses the largest technology and development center for CA Technologies and our employees have been proactive in embracing activities that will help reduce our environmental impact,” Sanket Atal, senior vice president and head of the ITC, CA Technologies. “During the planning and construction phase of this new building it was only natural that we took our commitment to sustainability a step further by developing a building that meets the criteria of LEED India Gold.”

The CA Technologies ITC environmentally-friendly campus features a 30.5 acre highly sustainable park-like setting with 450,000 square feet of office space. The campus was opened three years ago with one building that houses 1500 employees. The completion of its new LEED India Gold certified building enables the company to house another 1000 employees.  Additional information on sustainability initiatives for Building 2 can be found at
