Businesses and Individuals Come Together to Amplify Support for EPA’s New Carbon Standards

Jun 5, 2014 1:00 PM ET

June 5, 2014 /3BL Media/ - The EPA announced new rules for reducing carbon emissions from existing power plants, the largest source of carbon emissions in the U.S. This is a huge step in the right direction and the ‘crown jewel’ of President Obama’s Climate Action Plan.

To tackle climate change the world must cut carbon emissions significantly, and the U.S. (one of the largest carbon emitters globally) has a responsibility to take strong action if we want the rest of the world to follow.

But it won’t be easy. The opposition is already out in full force to try to stop these proposed standards. Which is why Ceres has launched a huge effort to mobilize businesses and investors to support these new standards. They know that what makes sense for the environment also makes sense for business.

Add your voice to the hundreds of businesses and individuals calling for action on climate change by joining our Thunderclap campaign to amplify support for the EPA’s new carbon rules.

The message: “Cutting carbon emissions will help protect our planet AND our economy. We must #ActOnClimate to tackle #ClimateChange” will be blasted out simultaneously over Twitter reaching hundreds of thousands of people.

Join the Ceres Thunderclap campaign today to support the EPA Carbon Rules and show the world that we are ready to #ActOnClimate.
