(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) August 3, 2010 - Any professional working in the Sustainability or Corporate Responsibility arena today must take a minute to reflect on which direction towards Sustainability they are on. Following a series of human and ecological fatalities tied to accidents in the Oil and Gas Industry of late, stakeholders are now demanding more substance in terms of the sustainability strategies and programs which companies follow. Recently, some leading companies, with grand public images and pioneering reputations in green, have found their Sustainability reputations sinking.

As Warren Buffet once said, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation but only five minutes to ruin it ” leading corporations understand the need to build strategies and programs supporting sustainability, that are based on international frameworks linking non-financial and financial performance, as well as be endorsed by institutional investors.

The Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE), as a global leader in corporate sustainability training, has trained over 5,000 managers and directors on sustainability, corporate responsibility, and quality management. CSE's next training workshop is scheduled for September 14-15, in the Washington D.C. region (Alexandria, VA).

The Accredited Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner Workshop offers participants the opportunity to earn an official business qualification in Sustainability and title 'Certified CSR Practitioner' (CSR-P) which is recognized by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
