Avista’s 125th anniversary is the perfect time to take a few hours out of employees' day to share what they do – and why they do it – with the young people in their lives.  You never know, this might just inspire the next generation of Avista employees.

The program is a mix of self-directed, employee-led visits and events/activities held at locations throughout Avista's service territory. Activities included a touch-a-truck event, photo booth, safety demonstration, children’s activities, hydro presentation, and facility tours.

Every child (age 0-18 years) received a Kid’s Kit, which included a 125th Avista cinch backpack, special lanyard and VIP visitor’s badge, flying disc, water bottle, notepad, pen and hydro plant cube. Also in the kit was a brochure detailing several activities employees can do with their child or children and contests they can participate in (photo, essay, coloring and scavenger hunt).

More than 325 children and their parents participated in this year's program.
